Sister Anderson & Sister Bewsaith

Sister Nielsen & Sister Anderson

Sister's Danner, Layman, Anderson, Whitley & Nielsen

This week has been so crazy!!!  Two weeks ago Elder Nelson came and spoke to us and last Tuesday Elder Scott came and spoke.  We have been very lucky to have been here while two apostles have come to visit.  Elder Scott's talk was AMAZING!!!  His talk was very special to me in so many ways.  He told stories of his past which I love to hear and he gave us special instruction.

I actually really like teaching in Tagalog rather then in English right now.  It pushes me to be better and to be more confident in myself.

IT SNOWED LAST WEEK!  After we got out of class it was snowing really hard and they were BIG.  We took pictures and played in the snow in skirts!!:)

This last Sunday we were sitting in Sacrament Meeting and President Johnston announced that Sister Anderson and Brother Heather would be our two speakers for today.  I stood up after he was done talking, walked up and gave my talk.  It was in all Tagalog.  As I walked up to the stand I was soooo nervous.  I gave my talk and when I sat down the Sisters next to me asked me how could I have been so calm.  I am grateful for Heavenly Father and answering my prayer so fast.

Only 14 more days!!!!!!!!!I can't wait and I am so excited!!!!!!!

This opportunity to serve a mission is the greatest decision I have made.  I know that this opportunity will not only help me but also my family and my future family.

dressed for Halloween party

Kumusta pamilya ako, Kumusta po kayo?

I am doing GREAT.  I love the mtc, maybe I never want to leave...no...I want to go to the Philippines.

It rained all day yesterday and probably all night long.  You know me and I love to walk in and play in the rain.  It is kind of hard to play in the rain in a skirt or dress so I just walk in the rain with my rain jacket, while my companion walked under the overhangs.

OOOO' major big news for all of you!!!!  Last Tuesday Russell M. Nelson came and talked with us.  It was so exciting to have an apostle come to the mtc.  The spirit was so strong while he talked and you can tell that the prophet and the apostles love this gospel with everything they have to give.

This last Thursday at the TRC it was our first time for our district to teach the first lesson ALL IN TAGALOG.  It was really amazing to see how much Tagalog we actually know and to be put in a situation when you have to rely on the spirit and yourself to remember the words you have learned.

OOO'another exciting thing that the Sisters in my zone did was we had a Halloween party.  I stuck the eyeballs that mom sent me all over my forehead and face and then the wax lips that she also sent.

I am so grateful for this opportunity in my life to serve and for the blessing that I have received.  We just came back from the Temple and I love the feeling that it gives me each time I go.

Love Sister Anderson :):):)

practice teaching the "eyeballs" they don't talk back
Filipino squat!!
Kumusta po kayo?  I am doing good this week.  Me and Sister Nielsen were really nervous last Sunday about being called to give our talks.  But we weren't.  But we think that maybe next week.

On Wednesday was the grossest day since I have been here.  On Wednesdays we have to do service like clean the windows or sweep the leaves on the cement.  But last Wednesday we had to clean the tile behind the toilets and the urinals in both womens and mens.  We held our breath going into the mens.

Sister Nielsen and I practice all the time with those eye balls that mom gave us.  People stare at us as they walk by but we just laugh.

We watched the movie the Testaments last night.  I love that movie.  If any one ever wants to watch a movie that will make missionaries cry, even the Elders, watch that one.  The movie is such a testimony builder for me.  We are getting along well with the other Sisters in our room.  The two are going to the Philippines so we try to talk as much in Tagalog as possible.  Last nights fireside was really great.  The speakers were so funny but there message was also good.

Love ya Sister Anderson :)

Elder Berghoff and Sister Anderson
Hey how is everyone?  The mtc has fireside on Sundays and devotionals on Tuesday.  The missionaries here are waiting for the Prophet or an apostle to come.  They are so funny because we wait outside the door and people yell like they have seen the Prophet but not really.  The language is still tough but it will come with practice.

We had a TRC last Thursday and each time we get better with our Tagalog and our teaching skills.  We taught the second lesson last Thursday which was really good.  Both of our favorite scriptures worked into the lesson which was really cool.  I can see a change in the way that we teach when we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

I saw Elder Berghoff the other day and we took a picture together and I also saw Elder Brown and Elder Egbert.  It is so weird to see people from our stake here but also a good thing.  It doesn't feel like it has been almost a month.  I love the feeling that I get here and maybe I maybe I will never come home!!!!Just joking mom!!!!!:):)

We received two more sisters that are going to the Philippines in our room and two others who are going state side but it so much fun to have 6 girls in the room.  We don't always get to bed on time because of telling stories and talking but we surely get up on time.

Every morning I wake up and go straight to the window because I am praying for snow.  But everyone else in our room is praying for no snow.  I just want it to snow just at least once while we are here.

We have met a lot of people from all around the world.  The other day we saw the first Sister Missionary from Jordan.  She told us of her conversion story.  I love hearing about stories of how people joined the church.

Sister Phelps & Sister Anderson
mtc district/provo temple
This week has gone by so fast.  I saw Sister Phelps yesterday and Sister Clark and Sister Zollinger leave today.  I am so sad to see them go but also very excited at the same time.  I love to go to the Temple.

General Conference was so great and the spirit was so strong here in the mtc.  When we went to conference in April it was such an uplifting experience but the mtc surpasses it.  With all the missionaries here and their faith and spirits it is amazing.

Tagalog is still challenging but me and my companion are learning to smile all the time even when it is hard.  Every Sunday night the mtc has movies we can watch and last night we watched Legacy.

I am still not used to getting up really early so be the end of the day I am definitely ready for bed.  I have been taking a lot of pictures and with me in them!!!

It has been so weird sometimes because when I am having a bad day or something is just not going right, Elder Lowry comes and gives me a letter from home.  I also seem to get letters on the days when it is hard.  I like it!!! :)

It rained on us the other day when we went for our temple walk which was so nice.  I love the smell of rain.  Good thing I am going to the Philippines because that is as close to swimming as I can get for a while.

OOOO' the other day somebody was cooking popcorn in the microwave and burnt it really bad.  The smoke detectors went off and all the sisters had to evacuate.  We were all in our pj's.  And a girl was in the shower, so she wrapped three towels around her and went outside.  I was in my Eeyore pj's.

I am so grateful for everything that my family and friends have done for me.  Conference was really special to me and I felt the spirit so much.  There were some talks that I felt were speaking directly to me and I am thankful.

Love, Sis. Anderson

Sister Anderson is doing great.  She has been in the mtc about a week and a half and loving it.  She says the food is good and the chocolate milk is awesome.  It took her 2 nights to unpack because they were so busy, "we really don't have a lot of time".  She's learning Tagalog and has learned to almost say her prayers and testimony.  It's been a little hard getting up at 6:30 am and going to bed late, but getting used to the routine.
